Lark frowned. "He told me lies then. Damn remind me to never trust him again. Although that was also a really weird night." She said the last part directed at herself. "Anyway we should probably get some rest." Lark said and closed her eyes.

Almos nodded. "Alright. See you in the morning, then." He said, laying down on his bed.

(Time skip to morning?)

Lark closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep in the matter of minutes.

(Sure.)

The silence in the room was disrupted by Ludwig bashing the door open. "Time for training!" He shouted into the room.

Almos woke up almost immediately and jumped out of his bed, quickly standing at attention.

Lark woke up and got out of bed looking at Ludwig with irritation in her eyes. Being rudely awaken wasn`t one of her favorite things in the world. In fact she wanted nothing more then to go back to sleep.

Ludwig smirked. "Follow me to the grounds." He said, turning sharply and starting off towards the training grounds.

Almos started off, following him. "You okay?" He asked Lark.

Lark followed extremely annoyed after grabbing her sword. "I`m fine, just not much for rude awakenings. They piss me off." She said and sighed.

Almos nodded. "Yeah. I'm a bit used to them, now."

Lark nodded. "By the way do you and Ludwig have some big history or something?"

Almos nodded. "He spared me back in Domin. Made me change my family name. This was a year or two ago and I still don't think he respects me."

"He defiantly seems like a tough cookie to crack." Lark said and yawned.

Almos nodded. "Yeah. I'm sure he's nice to people that he likes."

"For some reason I don't think I m going to make that cut of people he actually likes." Lark said negatively.

Almos chuckled. "I wouldn't worry too much about it. Even if you were close to him, he would treat you the same as the other recruits. At least, as long as you're a recruit. And who knows, you might impress him in combat. You have a pretty good opportunity later."

Lark smirked and nodded. "I can't wait for that. Not only can I show off my skills but I get to kick that bug brain into next week." She said seeming way too excited to fight someone.

Almos chuckled. "You really like this whole thing, don't you?"

"Well when it comes to fighting with a sword it's only natural for me to love every aspect of this." Lark pointed out as they neared a training ground where Gem was standing in the middle with a cloak on covering her ears with the hood.

Almos glanced at Lark. "Do you know who that is?" He asked, referring to Gem.

"I'm not sure, although they're very short aren't they." Lark said looking over at Gem as she looked towards all of them. Gem walked up to Ludwig as they approched. "Nice to see you again Ludwig."

Ludwig nodded. "Nice to see you again as well, Ms. Gem." He said, turning to face the recruits. "Recruits, I'd like you to meet Ms. Gem, she's a renowned healer, and a well-known member of the Church."

Almos looked at Gem. He could definitely feel her magical aura.

Gem took off the hood of her cloak showing her elf ears and the fact that she looked 15. "It's nice to see so many new faces around here. I will be your magic teacher. Measuring capabilaties on magic and teaching how to avoid and use a magical attack against the caster of a spell." She explained and looked at Almos directly for a bit as she spoke. Gem could feel his aura even if it was sealed. A magic users magic is never totaly sealed off. It's like disconnecting someone from their mind.

Lark looked at Gem surprised with the fact that she was not one a women but an elf. That looked younger then all of them. Though by elf standards Gem would be pretty young.


(I'm not sure, the plot kinda confuses me a bit)

Almos glanced from her to Ludwig, who had noticed Gem was observing him. "There will be one exception to magic training." He said, pointing at Almos. "You will not be participating." He said, sternly. "Lest you get any ideas about your place here."

Almos looked down at the ground. He had guessed that that would be the case. "Yes sir." He said, trying to suppress how glum he was.

(Same here, but I'm gonna try it.)

Gem looked up at Ludwig and raised her hand up to stop him. "Hold on Ludwig. This trainee in perticular could be of use to me." She said and looked at Almos. "He may not be of this place but that doesn't mean his powers can't be turned for the better. We need more healers around here."

Lark looked at Gem with a smirk because of her own perdiction. She'd said yesterday for Almos not to doubt the clerics around here. At least one of the  would see his capabilities.

Almos looked up at her, his eyes wide. He looked up at Ludwig in expectation.

Ludwig frowned. "Gem, if this is what you think is best, I won't question it. But I highly advise against it."

Almos's expression changed to a slight smile.

"It's obvious your against it. You are a royal knight after all." Gem said and nodded. "My decision is final then. I want to take this boy on as my appentice if he shall agree." She said and looked at Almos for an answer.
