Lark frowned and sighed. "Almost everyone in this kingdom is shameful. Where's the honor anymore."

Almos looked at her. "Honor? I'm sorry, I don't know this word."

Lark looked at him surprised. "Honor means glory. For instance if you do something honorable you`ve brought honor to your family or glory to them."

Almos nodded. "I see. And this is very important here?"

"Well in some ways, most people have thrown honor for greed. To the peasants, like myself, around here though honor is still a huge deal though. You need to show that your stronger then what people put you as." Lark said her heart becoming heavy just thinking about it. Any day now someone could find out her true identity. When that happens she surely will be hung as punishment.

Almos nodded. "I see. Well, it is implied that one should be like hoe you say in my culture. However, we do not have laws about it."

"There`s never any laws although everyone should try to do their best." Lark said and saw that a big clearing with targets on the far side and bows at the beginning of it. "Will and Almos, since both of you have been talking this entire time then why don`t you both go first." Gem said looking over at them.

Almos looked at the bow and arrow. "I-I could, I guess." He said, walking over to where the bows were. He had never shot one before.

Lark picked up the bow like it was nothing and got a bag of arrows she walked over to the marker and loaded the arrow on to the bow before pulling the string back and taking a deep breath. After focusing totally she let the arrow go and it landed really close to the center. When it came to weaponry and fighting she was at her best.
Gem watched Lark and took notice her magic capabilities were very low. Compared to Almos who had more then she`d seen in awhile. It was expected that most of them wouldn`t have magic abilities.

Almos watched what she did. He notched an arrow, pulled the string back, and released. The arrow flew through the air and missed the target. Almos sighed, knowing that that would've happened. He put the bow back down. "Sorry, I've never shot one." He said, embarrassed.

Gem nodded getting the information she needed. "It`s alright, I wouldn`t expect for any of you to have done any of this. That`s why your under training." She said as Lark put her bow and arrows up.

Almos nodded and put his things away as well, stepping out of the way to allow other trainees in.

The other trainees started to shoot two by two people. Lark watched looking like she was sizing all of them up.

Almos was standing next to her. "I take it you've shot these before?"

"As you were brought up in a world of magic I was brought up with weaponry. So an answer to your question would be yes, many times." Lark explained simply.

Almos nodded. "That's true. Your people are definitely stronger than us."

"Not true actually, people with magic in my opinion are stronger. You can use a power that no one but other magic users know how to prepare for." Lark commented.

"But your people use Holy magic as well. We don't stand a chance."

Lark looked at him and shrugged. "Holy magic can be over defeated. You just need to know the right spells. If you break their magic for a short period they are over powered."

Almos nodded. "Right. But its still very difficult to fight with magic in general."

Lark nodded. "I guess your right, I wouldn't know because I can't use magic. I never have." She stated and scratched te top of her head. The wig was starting to itch.

Almos shrugged. "I can see why. It seems to be frowned upon here." He said, jokingly.

"Most people around here prefer to use weapons rather than magic. It`s kind of a sad thing really." Lark commented.

(Sorry for the late response this the first time my computer has actually gotten my post to work ^^')

Almos smiled. "I'm surprised you're so interested in magic. I would teach you if I could."

"It would be awesome if you could." Lark said and smirked. "Everyone it`s time to move on to the next test." Gem said and she started walking away motioning for them to folow her. "Guess we`re moving." Lark commented and followed after Gem.
