The Only Hope 1x1

Anya laughed and curled up in her blanket. "This room is so cold. Although what do you expect from an underground concrete room."

Dante nodded. "Yeah, but its the best we got." He said, stretching out. "So what, do we just stay here?"

Anya nodded in reply. "Yep, pretty much. We can`t really do anything else till things calm down."

Dante sighed. "Well, this'll be fun." He said, jokingly. "At least we can catch up."

Anya laughed. "Yeah I guess,"

Dante looked at her. "So how's your time back been?"

"Considering I haven't been beaten in the past 24 hours. I'd say it's been pretty great." Anya said with a smirk looking at the ceiling. "I really did miss being here though, well not in this room, but I mean somewhere where things live and breath."

Dante nodded. "Live and breath? What's that mean?"

"That place, I think the reason it was so strict is because all of the people there had died in the experiment that the vials dealt with. Being here is actually nice believe it or not. I`m alive again, living and breathing." She explained.

Dante nodded. "I see. I'm glad you're back too." He said, smiling.

Anya turned her head to look at him and smiled. "It`s good to be back."

Dante looked over at her and smiled. "Glad to hear it."

"So about you, when`d you discover your powers?" Anya asked curiously.

Dante thought for a second. "I think I found out about them a few days after your funeral. I sneezed and lit something on fire."

Anya laughed. "That sounds like a very funny sight."

Dante nodded. "Yeah, it was.." He said, looking back up at the ceiling, falling into silence. He was still smiling.

"So you just learned over the past two years then?" Anya asked wanting to crave her constant curiousity.

Dante nodded. "Yeah, I practiced when I wasn't part of the resistance and would during my free time."

Anya looked at the ceiling. "Hmm, your quite and impressive one." She said thoughtfully. "It`s strange how our powers are the polar opposites though."

Dante nodded. "It kinda sucks." He said, folding his arms on his stomach.

"Yeah I guess a bit, although it`s not that bad." Anya looked over at him. "Having opposite powers mean that we have a lot more range then if they were similar, it`s a benefit."

Dante shrugged. "I guess that's true. Still, you can beat me pretty easily now."

"I wouldn`t say that. Fire can beat water it just takes a lot of effort." She replied nonchalantly.

Dante sighed. "Yeah, but yours takes a lot less effort." He said.

Anya laughed softly. "Lazy bum," she teased him.
