The Only Hope 1x1

Dante looked around the hall, still following Anya. "How did you...?" He mumbled.

Anya made it to the door and opened it walking in and closing it behind him after turning the light on.

Dante looked around the room. "What is this place?" He asked her.

"It's a safe house. If anyone needs to hide out for a few days all they have to say is that phrase and they can come down here. I found it out around when I died. I didn't ever find it realevant though."

Dante nodded. "That's pretty handy." He said, looking around the room. "So we just hide out here?"

Anya nodded and looked around the pretty much empty room. The only thing in there was a lamp that you lit a match too to have light. "They have a washroom everyone in here can use. Though everyone has to take turns by gender."

Dante nodded. "Gotcha." He said, walking into the room. "Its better than most rooms I've seen."

Anya nodded before grabbing a box of matches next to the lamp and lighting it. The room went from pitch dark to light. "It was good that I remembered to get the blankets and pillows I doubt the cold hard ground would be nice."

Dante smiled. "Yeah, its definitely going to help.

Anya smiled and put the bag she was carrying down. Then she got out the blanket and pillow she had in this bag and put them on the floor. Her stomach growled again reminding her she still hadn't eaten.

Dante smiled. "You should eat something." He said, unpacking his bag.

Anya nodded and took out one of the food ration cans. "Why don't we split it?" She offered.

Dante shrugged. "Up to you." He said, taking out his blanket and pillow.

Anya sighed. "I ban you from saying those words again. You make it seem like everyone is on their own."

Dante chuckled. "Alright, alright. You go ahead and eat, I'm going to keep unpacking."

Anya smiled. "Better answer," she replied and opened the can before eating some of the food that was in it. The low quality of the food didn`t bother her. It was rare that she ever had had high quality food so the texture and other things about it didn`t bother her at all.

Dante put his blanket and pillow down. "Alright, cool." He said, opening up his backpack and taking out a ration can. He opened it up and ate some of the food. The food was a type of brown pellet. Similar to dog food in both taste and texture.

Anya ate and look at her hand curiously. "What does the symbol mean? I mean I know what it stands for but the design."

"The A stands for arise, and the circle is there because it looks cool." Dante said, shrugging.

"Oh, well I guess that`s okay, keeping it simple is a good thing."

Dante chuckled. "Did you expect something complex?"

Anya smirked and nodded. "Yeah a little bit actually. I probably shouldn`t have though."

Dante squinted. "Is that an insult?" He said, accusing her in a joking fashion.

"Only if you take it as one." Anya said a joking smirk on her face as she laid on the ground. The answer was one that had no positive answer.

Dante chuckled. "That's helpful." He said, flopping down on the makeshift bed.
